Uniform Policy

Parents, please review this policy carefully. If you have any questions, BEFORE you purchase, please check with the front office. SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS JUST IN CASE THERE IS A PROBLEM.

PCA believes it is the parents’/guardians’ responsibility to enforce the school standards of dress. Dress code violations are preventable with the proper exercise of parental concern and authority. School uniforms must be worn daily by all students, grades K-8 grades, except on specially announced or earned free dress days. If a student comes to school not in uniform, the parent is called to bring them the appropriate clothing before they are allowed back in the classroom.

Uniform Requirements Consist of the Following:White Long Sleeve Polo Shirt 

SHIRTS:Shirts plain white or navy blue short-sleeved or long-sleeved knit polo style, oxford, turtle neck with no logos. A white or navy turtleneck (no writing or logos) shirt may be worn underneath long sleeved polo shirts only during the winter months.

  • Undershirts may NOT be visible through uniform shirts.


Options include long pants, shorts, pleated skirt* and jumpers must be solid navy blue twill material. Jumpers, shorts MUST be no shorter than three (3) inches above the knee. Clothing should fit well, neither too loose nor too tight. “Sagging” is not permitted.

  • Pleated navy blue skirts and jumpers may be purchased from Sport T’s or French Toast (
  • Cargo pants/skirts/shorts/skorts do not meet the approved guidelines, nor do items with multiple pockets, multiple (3 or more) buckles, multiple zippers, etc. Avoid items labeled “cargo.” “Sagging” is not permitted.
  • Must wear shorts under skirts or jumpers regardless of wearing tights/nylons.


Solid Black, Solid Blue, or Solid White Shoes with NO NOTICEABLE LOGOS.

  • Girl’s Black or Navy Blue Mary Jane non skid shoes and boys non skid dress shoe may be worn with formal school attire. White, Navy Blue, or Black tennis shoes must be worn at all other times – including on free dress days.. OPEN TOED SANDLES, PLATFORM TENNIS SHOES, PLATFORM SHOES, HEELS, AND BOOTS MAY NOT BE WORN AT ANY TIME. Socks, tights or stockings MUST be worn at all times.

SOCKS:Navy and White Crew Socks

  • Socks are to be a solid navy blue or white.
  • If girls wear nylons/tights, they too must be solid blue, white, or flesh colored. No footless nylons/tights/leggings.
  • Long, athletic, stretch leggings are not permitted under skirts or shorts.


  • Colors for grades K-8th include, white and navy blue.


  • Sweatshirts may be pullover. NO HOODIES. They may be either the Paragon Collegiate Academy logo or a plain, no picture or writing sweatshirt of your choice.
  • White or Navy blue cardigans button-up can be worn over uniform shirt.
  • Coats and winter jackets are not subject to the uniform policy but they must be removed when the student is indoors, and must be free of any depiction of violence, profanity, advertisements, vulgar terms or pictures, or negative individual and/or group activity.
  • PCA encourages the plain blue jackets that coordinate with school uniforms. These can be found at Sport T’s or by ordering directly at
  • Hats will be permitted seasonally and will only worn outside.
  • No hats will be allowed at any time in class. They will only be permitted seasonally and only worn outside.


  • For girls, acceptable earrings are studs only and in the bottom earlobe only. No earrings are acceptable for boys. No other piercings of any kind will be allowed.
  • Both boys and girls are to have reasonable hairstyles. No tails, dyes, bleaching or shaved heads (complete or partial) or hair indentations will be allowed.


  • No makeup will be permitted under 6th grade. Moderate makeup will be permitted for Acne coverage only.

Where uniforms may be purchased:


  • Sport T’s, Target, Wal-Mart, Ross, JC Penney’s, Sears
  • French Toast: French Toast uniforms are often available at Target, or Sport Ts.
  • Be careful when purchasing, make sure clothing items and styles are Paragon Collegiate Academy approved.

Non-Uniform Dress Rules

On the few non-uniform dress days, students should be dressed neatly and appropriately for a school environment. Unfortunately, this is open to wide interpretation, so please follow the guidelines of this policy.
Modest attire should be worn at school. Students may not wear the following:

  • See-thru or fishnet fabric, halter tops, off the shoulder, spaghetti straps, tank tops, low-cut tops (front and back), or bare midriff tops.
  • Shorts within an inseam shorter than 3 inches are prohibited.
  • Skirts, dresses, and shorts must be longer than fingertips, when the arm is held hanging down the side.
  • T-shirts depicting violence, profanity, advertisements, vulgar terms or pictures, or negative individual and/or group activity.
  • Pants with holes in them or patches on them.
  • Aerobic style stretch clothing.
  • Pajama pants, shirts, or shoes.
  • Exposed undergarments. Clothing shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments at ALL times.
  • Hats or scarves may be worn outside only, weather permitting.
  • Sunglasses are not to be worn in classrooms or offices.
  • NO GANG PARAPHERNALIA, colors, scars, “rags”, or gang hats are allowed on campus or at school functions, as determined by the Marysville Police Department gang task force. “Sagging” is not permitted. Wallet chains or their equivalent are not permitted at school. Any clothing, jewelry or hairstyle perceived as a gang symbol or affiliation is prohibited. When students are found in violation of the dress code, parents will be contacted to bring proper attire. The student will wear a school provided shirt or pants until proper clothing is obtained. A second or continued violation will result in suspension for defiance of school rules. Teachers and staff will ultimately determine what is appropriate dress for class and school functions and reserve the right to identify as inappropriate clothing that may not have been described may result in the disruption of the education of other students.
